Overview

Located along 865 Lopez Jaena Road in Caridad, Cavite, CHAOLONG Food House offers a unique culinary fusion that spotlights Vietnamese heritage dishes adapted to Filipino tastes. As a restaurant, it has carved a niche by focusing on chaolong, a comforting rice noodle soup, and elevated it beyond its traditional roots into a flavorful experience that resonates well locally.

The menu showcases a variety of thoughtfully curated dishes: the Beef Chaolong with Banh Mi stands out for its rich, savory broth and tender beef that deliver a satisfying depth of flavor. The Pork Chao Long Soup Beef Stew and Chaolong Specialty Beef further enrich the lineup, reflecting both authentic and reimagined takes on classic recipes. For those who prefer lighter or more familiar meals, options like Rice Noodles Soup with Chicken and the beloved Bangsilog provide hearty, well-executed alternatives.

Customers consistently praise the ambiance—a simple yet inviting space with tasteful design and good ventilation, creating a relaxed vibe perfect for casual dining or catching up with friends. Notably, the environment also features plants for sale, adding a charming touch that complements the overall experience.

Portion sizes receive positive remarks, especially the chaolong offered in varied sizes to suit different appetites, typically generous without overwhelming. The SBS (Soup Beef Stew with Cheesy Banh Mi) also earns accolades for balancing flavor, quantity, and value. Even the garlic bread accompanying the meals—though opinions vary slightly on freshness—tends to be well-loved for its crisp exterior and buttery interior, making it a delightful side that completes the meal.

What ties this all together is the pricing strategy that remains approachable, aligning quality with affordability. This makes CHAOLONG Food House appealing not only to locals but also to food enthusiasts seeking authentic yet localized flavors without stretching their budget.

Ultimately, CHAOLONG Food House is more than just a spot to eat; it’s a place where heritage food meets Filipino sensibilities, set in a comfortable and friendly setting. Whether you’re nostalgic for Palawan’s chaolong, a fan of Vietnamese-inspired dishes, or simply looking for hearty comfort food in Cavite, this restaurant offers a memorable dining experience worth exploring.

The place is nice and has a good food. I would really recommend the SBS, it is serve in good proportions and quite delicious at the same time it is budget friendly. I would give 5 out of 5 but the bread they serve has really not given me that much of satisfaction. The taste is good but the bread is quite stale. All in all I would recommend it to my friends looking for good food with nice environment.

If you miss the Chaolong in Palawan, the beef chaolong special and garlic bread here are a must-try! The rich, savory broth of the chaolong, paired with tender beef, delivers a satisfying burst of flavor with every spoonful. The garlic bread, golden and crispy on the outside while soft and buttery on the inside, is an absolute delight and the perfect companion to the soup. What makes the experience even better is the reasonable price point—great quality without breaking the bank. And let's not forget the ambiance, which sets the stage for a warm and relaxed dining experience. Whether you're catching up with friends or just treating yourself, this spot combines delicious food, affordability, and a welcoming vibe effortlessly. Highly recommended!

If you haven't been here, this is a must-try. Their chaolong comes in three sizes from small to large and we only ordered small. Surprisingly, it is already more than enough for only 109 pesos. We also enjoyed their bangsilog. The interior is also well-ventilated with its good designs

Went to Cavite City for an errand when I came across this hidden gem while looking for a place to eat. It’s a restaurant, a barbershop and a carwash all tucked in one. Place is relaxing, reminiscent of Puerto Princesa and it’s many different Chaolong houses. Serving took around 10 minutes. The chaolong and other meals are super affordable. The serving of the rice noodles isn’t much, probably best to order extra noodles. The broth is flavoured just right. Perfect balance of spices. The bahn mi is baked in-house. The cheese and garlic were okay but i think plain toast will be better. Will definitely come back!
